Intelligent Hybrid Charging Control for Wind & Solar Systems

The iSTA-BREEZE® I/HCC-850 Hybrid Charge Controller is designed to manage battery charging from compatible wind generators and solar PV input in 12V, 24V or 48V systems. With a total controller rating of up to 850W, it combines wind turbine control, AC-to-DC rectification and solar charging support in one compact unit.

This controller regulates the 3-phase AC output of compatible permanent magnet generators and converts it into controlled DC charging for the battery bank. It also supports solar PV input up to 150W, allowing wind and solar energy sources to charge the same battery system when correctly configured.


Smart Charging with Automatic Turbine Braking

When the battery reaches full charge, the controller automatically cuts off charging current to the battery and activates turbine braking. This helps protect the battery from overcharging while also reducing unnecessary stress on the wind generator.

The integrated load control and diversion control functions support safer operation by managing excess energy and protecting the connected system from common electrical risks.

Protection Function
Automatic braking is activated when the battery is sufficiently charged. Manual braking may be required under storm or special operating conditions.
